Sometimes things just work out. This weekend away in Cape
Cod was one of them. It wasn’t planned too far in advance which, though a lack
of an agenda worried me, was actually beneficial. About three weeks ago a
friend and I planned to meet with two other friends we met while studying
abroad in Florence and luckily both friends were free. So a lesson learned is
that while most of the time it is necessary to plan far in advance, simple
weekends away where you pack the car and go (we literally got our destination address
the morning we left) can not only work out, but be just the kind of relaxing
and fun you need to recharge for the upcoming week.
