The Saturday before my birthday, I had some wonderful friends come celebrate with me at Pod 39 Rooftop. We had to wait almost 2 hours because they only allow a limited amount of people up there, but it was worth the wait as it was this cute little Spanish style haven with a great view of midtown Manhattan. The wait time wasn't bad either as there was Salvation Taco downstairs and a "Playroom" that included a ping pong table to distract us from the wait. Get there early and you'll have a shorter wait time for the roof. The cocktails were on the pricey side (since this is, after all a rooftop bar in midtown) so stick with the standard priced beer.
